Once thought of as the Christian continent, Europe became The Atheist Continent – and a mission field where masses need us to awaken them from living in deception.
While the Body of Christ has been growing steadily in Asia, Latin America, and Africa, the fastest-growing religion in Europe is unbelief. Europeans live in post-Christian cultures. They think that they are much more educated than to believe the message of Christianity. They wrote off the Bible as an old, outdated, useless fable. They are blinded by deception and are not seeking the one true God. They are ready to believe in anything and everything, BUT the love of Jesus Christ. The faint voice of the Gospel is almost drowned out by alluring New Age movements, the occult, atheism, skepticism, agnosticism, and with the influx of refugees from Muslim countries – Islam.
In the US one cannot grow up anywhere without seeing churches being actively present in their communities through different outreach events. And there is an endless list of Christian ministries/organizations in every community that demonstrate the love of Jesus as they provide all kinds of needed services. Christianity is a significant part of the American experience. It is strongly present in our society and in every aspect of our culture.
In Europe, the Christian voice is barely detectable. It is hard to tune out the loud and obnoxious noise of the all-secular culture to hear the faint voice of the Body of Christ. Today Europe is the least evangelized continent. People live in deep spiritual darkness. In search of fulfillment, they turn to popular New Age “truths”, or the occult. There are very few Bible-teaching churches, even fewer outreach events, and hardly any written or other materials actively reaching them with the love of Jesus. In their everyday lives, people have a very small chance to hear or read about Jesus.
Do you remember the time when you weren’t a Christian yet? How much did you read, or hear ABOUT God and Christianity before you started to want to KNOW God? What did it take for you to turn your face toward Him? What if everything you could find written about Christ, or spoken about the Christian faith was in French, Irish, or German, NOT in English?
What if everything about Him and His teachings were only available to you in a foreign language??? For most Europeans that is the situation. The Bible is available in their language, but nobody reads it, nobody talks about it. And there is hardly anything else published that represents the Christian worldview.
Translation is important!
We at Love Europe are called to fill this void by creating and spreading Gospel tracts
and other short evangelical materials in EVERY European language.
Help us to wake up Europe to the reality of God’s love for them!
